The School District shall take every reasonable precaution for the safety of the students, employees, visitors, patrons and all others having business with it. Safety education and accident prevention are important to everyone in the schools, not only as a protective measure during school hours, but also as an instructional means of developing an appropriate mode of behavior to minimize accidents at all times.

The safety program shall be coordinated by a staff person responsible to the District Administrator. This program shall include accident prevention procedures, accident recordkeeping, buildings and grounds inspection, fire prevention, fire and tornado drills, school safety incident drills, and traffic and vehicle safety problems related to employees, students, and members of the community.

Accidents and injuries during the school day on school grounds, at school activities, or at school sponsored events will be reported to the building principal as soon as practicable.
