Welcome to Mrs. Thiess' home page!  

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year!  This will be my nineteenth year teaching at Luther Elementary School.  I have taught fifth, fourth, third and this will be my second year teaching second grade.  I am so excited!

I grew up in DeForest, Wisconsin.  I graduated from UW-Whitewater with a major in Elementary Education and a minor in Early Childhood Education in 2006.  I completed my Master's Degree through Carroll University in 2009.

I now live in Fort Atkinson with my husband, Brian.  We have four kids - Elodie, Evren, Ensen & Eilah. We also have a rescue dog named Esther.

In my free time I like to be outside as much as I can.  I enjoy being active by lifting weights, biking, running, swimming, and hiking.  I also enjoy spending time with friends and family, reading books of all types, watching movies, and listening to music and podcasts.
