Political Typology
GOVERNMENT
POLITICAL TYPOLOGY
Do this assignment in a word document and share the results with me.
1. Using your notes, write a definition of “political ideology” in your own words.
2. Based on what you know (in other words, DON’T LOOK THIS UP) describe the various political ideologies in the US today. Which one or ones can you identify with?
3. Go to this website from the Pew Research Center. Read the brief instructions and study the bar graph. Then, click on the “Political Typology Quiz”.
4. Read the directions and take the quiz.
5. Paste your results into your document. (Web address is fine)
6. Scroll down to read the description of your typology. Then use the links to read about the typology report. What did you learn?
7. Scroll down your results page and, citing examples, explain how your results compare to your typology, the two major political parties, and Americans in general.
8. What did you learn from seeing this information?
9. How will these results influence the decisions you make going forward?
